On Friday the 4th of September we did a treasure hunt. We had to find these pictures of a gumboot. We could have won golden headphones, 5 dollars, Eskimo pies, a ball and an ice cream. The money went to a charity called I Am Hope.
I am a Year 6 learner at Paihia School in Paihia, New Zealand. I am in Te Ngahere and my teachers are Wheae Becks and Wheae Chrissy

Soundscape
In Te Maunga we have been doing soundscapes. Ours was a Dragon soundscape. What we used for the sword sound was steel and colander, also the sound of the tree burning was cellophane, pinecones and bubble wrap. We learnt about musical instruments. I learnt about the violin. What I learnt was that they are made of wood also they have a sound box and 4 strings.
Diorama
In Te Maunga we have been doing dioramas. This is mine and my group's dinorama. I also learnt that Spinosaurus is one of the strongest dinosaurs in the world. What I thought: The reason why the dinosaurs died is because an asteroid landed in the volcano, and the volcano erupted so hard that mostly all of the dinosaurs died. Some survived but all the plants and water were gone. The dinosaurs had no source of food or water so they died. This is our screencastify of a diorama. Click Here
